Though born in Ohio, Susan Brewer knows Austin well, having lived here for more than 30 years. For 20 of those, she’s been active in real estate, accumulating many “clients for life.” A graduate of Texas State University with a BA in Applied Arts and Sciences, Susan is also certified in American Sign Language (ASL). Of her many accomplishments, her favorite is that so many people who started as clients are now her dearest friends. Her work style can be summed up in a single phrase: It’s about relationships, not transactions. Susan lives in South Austin with her dog Negril and daughter Jahsenta, by far her finest achievement.
Rather than writing a lengthy bio of herself, she prefers that her clients do the talking for her. Please read on…
"Working with Susan Brewer to find our dream house was a dream in itself. She was resourceful, finding not yet on the market options for us to review. She was patient, working so very well with my husband and me, who had very different needs for this new home. And she found us just the best possible spot in the neighborhood we were hoping for. Through all of this, she remained kind, supportive, and so very easy to work with - just a gem. Can’t recommend her highly enough!" —Susan L.
"Susan Brewer is the finest real estate agent imaginable. We’ve worked with her for years and would never consider anybody else. She is meticulous, AVAILABLE, a warrior when she needs to be, and always the voice of reason. She’s also kind, scrupulously honest, and funny. She’s become a very dear friend to us." —Colleen E.
"Susan has helped me successfully buy and sell several homes in Austin throughout the years. She is the only real estate I use because she knows the Austin market well, is straightforward, honest, fun, and is truly a partner throughout the buying and selling process. She knew what it took to prepare my houses to sell, and how to get the most money out of my investment. If you’re looking to buy, she’s lived in Austin long enough that she knows the neighborhoods that are within your budget, and is a shark in negotiating a deal. I highly recommend her for anyone interested in having a positive relationship with your agent from the beginning of the real estate process all the way through until the deal is signed." —Luanne S.
"Susan Brewer was my real estate agent when I had my house up for sale in Travis Heights. I am hearing impaired and with Susan knowing Sign Language, it made it so easy to understand all the information about my house and what I need to do in order to put my house up for sale. Susan’s communication with the Deaf like me made the job easy and fast. I am so thankful to have an agent like Susan that knows American Sign Language to get the job going. Knowing ASL also made it easy to make contact with her when buyers come in to look at my house. Susan contacted me fast for me to be able to know in advance when buyers come to look at the house. Susan is very skilled and smart and knows her job as a real estate agent. I am so grateful, and would recommend to anyone who are hearing impaired to choose Susan Brewer if any Deaf need their house up for sale or buy a house." — Martha H.
"Susan is like a mind reader when it comes to matching clients to homes. She doesn’t waste time showing properties that aren't right. Over the past decade she has helped me build an investment portfolio that will be giving back for years to come. Susan is the absolute best at what she does. And she’s fun. Thanks to Susan, my husband and I won’t have to eat cat food when we’re in our 80’s." —Teresa E.
"Susan Brewer is my lifelong real estate agent! She’s amazing! She helped me sell my home in Pflugerville while we shopped for a new home in Austin. She made it work. We were in a multiple offer situation with a new home and she negotiated the deal to my advantage. She knows what she’s doing and does it well. She’s also been a valuable resource when I needed information on current market conditions. Go with Susan. You’ll be glad you did!" —Marilyn M.
